It's so sad to hear that Richard Riley is still in the hospital! I feel so bad for his family, too. Can you imagine having a loved one stuck in there all this time? I think I'd go to pieces if that happened to Preston or the babies. I really just don't know how I could cope. Oh, dear! I'm getting depressed just thinking about it. :(
I'm going to go over to sign the banners today and bring the babies. I'll color their little palms and let them do handprints! Won't that be darling?

You never really know how fast a month can go when until you're a mother! At least that's what I think, now. The first month felt like an eternity, but since then time has just flown by. The twins are seven months old now, and, would you believe it? Penny sat up by herself today! That's ahead of schedule, almost by a month. Patch rolled over on his stomach today and made such a fuss. He seems to expect that if Penny can do something he ought to be able to do it, too. I think if he spent half the time he screams trying to develop his motor skills he might jump ahead of his sister.
The school year is about to begin and I'm very happy to say that I'm not leaving! Some people might think it's wrong of me to not stay home with the babies all day long but I think Pres and I have worked things out well enough so that we will manage just fine. He's such a dear! I think I'll be able to start back up with clubs this semester, we'll see how things go. I love my family but it would be nice to see people again. I miss tennis something dreadful but I haven't got the energy to do too much. Hopefully I'll be able to stay with the guitar ensemble and be consistent. I flaked out last semester, I hope all of you can forgive me! I know Pres has two left feet but he's promised he'll attend a few meetings of ballroom with me. Isn't that just wonderful? He and I haven't gone out alone for months, so that'd be quite a treat. Of course we wouldn't just leave the darlings alone! Is there anyone reading who has experience in childcare who might want to babysit for us? We can't pay much but We'd certainly pay you, and we could talk about the rate privately if you wish! I know Pres is dying to see The Dark Knight and if we can afford get tickets I'd love it if we can go together, but if we can't find a sitter he'll just have to go alone!
You've just got to see this darling picture of them!
